Rob Pambrun

Founder & Head Strength & Conditioning Coach

Rob Pambrun was hired by the Niverville Nighthawks in 2021 as the Player Development and Sports Science Coach. In 2024 he also assumed the role of Head Strength and Conditioning Coach, building the organization's entire off-ice performance and fitness program — and was announced as the first-ever Sports Science Coach in the Manitoba Junior Hockey League (MJHL).

Rob's contributions helped lead the Nighthawks to their first Turnbull Cup and Centennial Cup championship in 2025/26. The team broke league records as the quickest in MJHL history to win its first 20 games of the regular season, and finished with a combined 69-7-1 record across the regular season, playoffs, and national championship — staking a claim as one of the greatest MJHL teams in history.

His success drew the attention of the NHL's Winnipeg Jets, who invited him to assist at their 2025 Development Camp as a Guest Strength and Conditioning Coach, working closely with the organization's top prospects and draft picks. Rob was also invited to join the NHL Coaches' Association BIPOC program and has been an NHLCA member since 2022.

Much of Rob's work runs through his businesses, Team Prep Starz and the TPS Hockey Academy, where he has trained athletes and teams including the Dakota Collegiate Hockey Academy, the Niverville Nighthawks, Winnipeg Monarchs, Winnipeg Blues, and Northern Manitoba Blizzard of the MJHL, plus numerous AA and AAA teams. He has also worked with the Okanagan Hockey Group at the WHL Combine fitness-testing event, and for the MJHL's Top Prospects Showcase, Combine Fitness Testing and Development Camp, and the SJHL/MJHL Showcase.

Growing up, Rob was an elite-level hockey player in the MJHL, suiting up for the Portage Terriers, Southeast Blades, and Winnipeg Saints. A career-ending knee injury moved him from the ice to the training floor, where he became a professional fitness consultant and trainer.
